Arsenal started off like a house and fire away to Southampton but were eventually pegged back after scoring an early goal. Most fans were quick to blame the obviously poor refereeing by Robert Jones, but yours truly and Blackburn George are concerned that there were other equally important reasons for this setback, such as our failure to cope with Southampton’s rough-house tactics and a worrying tendency for Arsenal levels to fall-off as the game progressed (same happened at Leeds). But we will take a point. Still Top-of-the-League.
