Arteta’s Winners and Losers

Finally Arsenal has a “modern”, “ambitious” manager who is not afraid to spend big money on transfers to take the club to the “next level“. That much is indisputable after the club spent a record €167.42m in the summer of 2021-22 in support of Mikel Arteta’s shift to youthful talent in the form of Ben White, Ramsdale, Odegaard, Lakonga, Tavares and Tomiyasu. Surely there are mature, thoughtful, realistic Gooners who are concerned by the level of spending and the future prospects of the club?
