Arsenal Draw At Home With Spurs In Gripping Encounter

In our Arsenal-Tottenham match review, Blackburn George and I agree that a draw was a fair result in a match where both teams had major slices of luck that could have tipped the balance in either direction. For example, Tottenham had a big let off when Gabriel Jesus missed a point blank chance midway the first half to make it 2-love. Similarly Eddie Nketiah, sometime later, got away with a shocking studs up tackle on the Spurs goalkeeper escaping with only a yellow card. Despite an impressive first 30 or so minutes, when Arsenal successfully pressed and harassed the opposition, confining them to deep into their own half, it was noticeable that Spurs gradually worked themselves back into the game and took advantage of every opportunity to equalize when they fell behind. We go into more detail and other themes over our usual 30-minute chat.

As always, we don’t pretend to be experts; just two regular guys who are not afraid to express our honest opinion based on our experience and love for attractive, positive football by Arsenal.
